Visiting Guest Speaker - David Gough

Grade 5 students have begun a new History/Geography unit of work entitled, Eureka. One area of focus for our unit is to learn about the influence of people, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, on the environmental characteristics of Australian places.

David Gough is a descendant of Dolly Dalrympole and he came to tell the students about Aboriginal families and how they lived before Europeans came.

David was an excellent speaker, he kept the students engaged throughout his story telling and his extensive knowledge of aboriginal culture.
